Trivia

    Album

  • This film was based on Shobhana Desai's Gujarati play "Andhalo Pato".
  • This film was Vipul Shah's directorial debut.
  • The film's director, Vipul Shah, and the producer, Gaurang Doshi, had a fallout after this film, when Vipul Shah wasn't credited on the front cover of the film's DVD and wrongly named in the back.[1]
  • The film was originally shot with the ending that was eventually distributed only in overseas markets. Vipul Shah had second thoughts after shooting this ending and wasn't sure if the dark and open-ended climax would work with the audiences. Amitabh Bachchan thought that the ending was fine but Vipul Shah played it safe and shot a different, more conventional climax for the Indian audience.[2]
