Trivia

    Album

  • The story of this 1950 film appears to be loosely based on Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights". Dilip Kumar would go on to play Heathcliff-like characters again for "Hulchul" (1951) and more famously, "Dil Diya Dard Liya" (1966).[1][2][3]

    Song

  • Ae Dil Mujhe Aisi Jagah Le Chal - This was singer Talat Mahmood's first song for Anil Biswas and among his first hit songs in Hindi films. Anil Biswas encouraged Talat and assured him that the quiver in his voice was a good thing and gave it a unique character.[MR3]
