    Album

  • Salim - Javed worked together for the last time for "Mr. India" (1987). However, both of them had a minor writing role in this 2003 film. Amitabh Bachchan called on Javed Akhtar to write a speech his character was to make in the film and Salman Khan asked his father Salim Khan to do so for his character.[MR12]
  • This film was based on the American classic film "Make Way For Tomorrow" (1937). An earlier Hindi film "Zindagi" (1967) was also based on the same film.[1]
  • Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini were paired together in a film after 20 years. There last film as leading pair was "Nastik" (1983).[2]
