Trivia

    Album

  • Real-life brothers Ashok Kumar, Kishore Kumar and Anoop Kumar, featured as brothers on screen in this 1958 film.

    Song

  • Main Sitaron Ka Tarana (Paanch Rupaiya Barah Aana) - In each stanza of this song, Kishore Kumar appears to parody a different song. In the second stanza he parodies S.D. Burman's non-film song "Dheere Se Jaana Bagiyan Mein" and in the third song he parodies the R.C. Boral composition sung by K.C. Dey, "Teri Gathri Mein Laaga Chor" ("Dhoop Chhaon", 1935). In the first stanza the equivalent comic lines go "Khoon-e-dil peee ko aur lakht-e-jigar khaane ko, Yeh giza milti hai Laila tere deewane ko" but the source of these lines is not known.[1][2]
  • Hum The Woh Thi Aur Sama Rangeen Samajh Gaye Na - This S.D. Burman song sung by Kishore Kumar was based on Tennessee Ernie Ford's "Watermelon Song" (1957).[3]
