Trivia

    Song

  • Meri Mehboob Kahin Aur Mila Kar Mujhse - The line "Ek Shahenshah Ne Daulat Ka Sahara Le Kar Hum Gareebon Ki Mohabbat Ka Udaya Hai Mazaak" in this song was originally written by Sahir Ludhianvi in his poem "Taj Mahal" in the early 1940s. He has used this line earlier when he was engaged as lyricist for the Naushad-composed film "Leader" (1963). Naushad didn't have a very good relationship with Sahir and construed this line to be a dig at him, and had him replaced with his favourite lyricist, Shakeel Badayuni.[MR4][MR5]
