Trivia

    Album

  • This was the only Navketan movie for which Jaidev composed. Navketan gave him this movie in recognition of Jaidev's loyalty to the studio. After assisting S.D. Burman in several Navketan movies, Jaidev finally got a chance to compose independently.[MR3]

    Song

  • Abhi Naa Jao Chhod Kar - Lata Mangeshkar passed on this song to Asha Bhosle because of the suggestive song title.[MR4]
  • Main Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya - The easily identifiable glockenspiel sound in this song was played by Kersi Lord. Dev Anand's musical cigarette lighter in the film also played the same tune.[MR10]
  • Allah Tero Naam Ishwar Tero Naam - Jaidev had planned to use M.S. Subbalakshmi's voice for this song. The song eventually went to Lata Mangeshkar when she requested the music director to give her the song.[MR4]
  • Allah Tero Naam Ishwar Tero Naam - The original 78 rpm recording of this song had Sahir Ludhianvi's original lyrics for the song in which the first antara started "Is dharti ka roop na ujde". Sahir later changed the lyrics of this stanza with lines starting "Maangon ka sindoor na chhoote" to fit the film's context and this was the version that was used in the film.[MR10]
  • Jahan Mein Aisa Kaun Hai - Pandit Shivkumar Sharma played the santoor in this song. This was amongst his earliest work in Hindi films.[1]
