Trivia

    Album

  • This album became famous for the new medley format Nasir Hussain introduced. In one film sequence that lasted 10+ minutes, four songs played one after the other - "Chand Mera Dil Chandni Ho Tum" followed by "Aa Dil Kya Mehfil Hai" followed by "Tum Kya Jaano Mohabbat Kya Hai" and finally "Mil Gaya Humko Sathi Mil Gaya".

    Song

  • Mil Gaya Hum Ko Saathi Mil Gaya - R.D. Burman used the tune of Abba's "Mama Mia" for this song on director Nasir Hussain's insistence.
  • Bachna Ae Haseeno Lo Main Aa Gaya - The iconic trumpet introduction in this song was played by George Fernandes.
  • Chand Mera Dil Chandni Ho Tum - R.D. Burman had earlier used the tune of this mukhda partly in "Jeena Toh Hai Par Ae Dil Kahan" ("5 Dushman", 1973).
