Trivia

    Song

  • Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Hasin Sitam - This Hindi film song, considered a classic, was not part of the film's original script. S.D. Burman composed the tune and Kafi Azmi wrote the song anyway and gave it to Guru Dutt. Guru Dutt loved the song so much that he changed the film's script to accommodate the song.[1]
  • Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Hasin Sitam - Cinematographer V.K. Murthy won the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematography for this film. A highlight of his brilliant work in the film was the effect of a beam of light he created in this song using a spotlight and two mirrors.[MR10]
  • Ud Ja Ud Ja Pyase Bhanwre - In present day audio releases of "Kaagaz Ke Phool", this song is merged with "Dekhi Zamane Ki Yaari".
