Trivia

    Album

  • Lyricist Irshad Kamil's name did not appear in the credits in the initial lot of CDs released for this A.R. Rahman album. The omission was apparently due to a "clerical error" and his name was included in the subsequent CD releases.[1]
  • This was Shammi Kapoor's last film.

    Song

  • Kun Faya Kun - The title of this A.R. Rahman song is an Arabic phrase that translates to "Be! And, it is."
  • Kun Faya Kun - The song was filmed at the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah in New Delhi. The qawwals who performed the song on screen - the Nizami clan of Chand, Shadab and Sohrab - actually perform qawwalis at the dargah regularly.[2]
  • Sadda Haq Aithe Rakh - A.R. Rahman roped in the Australian guitar prodigy, Orianthi Panagaris, to play the guitar on this song. At the age of 24, Orianthi shot to fame when she played the lead guitar for Carrie Underwood at the 2009 Grammy Awards ceremony. Impressed by her, Michael Jackson invited her to play live with him for his This Is It concerts in London. Those gigs never happened due to Michael Jackson's sudden death.
